over 20,000 road signs
93 traffic signals
473.6 centerline miles of roadway
24 pump stations
The Alameda County Public Works Agency also issues 4,500 building permits each year, in addition to performing building inspections, reviewing land development projects, and implementing projects and services to protect and improve the quality of life in Alameda County.
