Redwood Road CLOSED

Reconstruction of the Redwood Road roadway failure began on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Work being performed includes excavating and re-compacting the roadway sub-base and installing steel piles and tie-back anchors to support the reconstructed roadway.

We anticipate completing these extensive repairs and reopening Redwood Road in January 2018.  (This schedule is subject to change, and inclement weather may impact the project schedule.)

Redwood Road will remain closed to all motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians at mile marker 7.38, for the duration of the reconstruction work.

Guests accessing the East Bay Regional Park District’s Anthony Chabot campground facilities need to enter from the Oakland side of Redwood Road.
