Residential Permit Parking Program (RPPP)

The Residential Permit Parking Program (RPPP) provides residents of the unincorporated areas of Alameda County with an option to address this displacement of on-street parking spaces by non-residents. Under this program residents of a designated neighborhood can purchase parking permits to park along roadways in their area, while on-street parking is restricted for motorists without permits.

Residents interested in the Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) should contact the Public Works Agency to determine whether residential permit parking is feasible and to define the boundary of the residential permit parking area.

If deemed feasible, complete the Petition For Residential Permit Parking and mail to:

Alameda County Public Works Agency
Traffic Engineering
399 Elmhurst Street
Hayward, CA 94544

Residents of a designated neighborhood can purchase permits to park along roadways in their area at the One Stop Permit Center, 399 Elmhurst Street, Room 141, Hayward, CA.
