Crow Canyon Road

Project Overview

The Alameda County Public Works Agency will perform roadway resurfacing and safety improvements on sections of Crow Canyon Road between Castro Valley Boulevard and the limit of the City of San Ramon. This project will include rehabilitation and repaving of a large section of the roadway to provide a smoother riding surface. The project will also improve traffic safety along Crow Canyon Road, providing pullout areas to facilitate traffic enforcement and serve as emergency parking for disabled vehicles, install guardrails and speed feedback display signs, and perform storm water culvert replacements.

  • Replacement of loop detection with video detection at the signalized intersections within project limits
  • Installation of traffic signal interconnect conduit from East Castro Valley Blvd to Manter Road
  • Installation of speed feedback signs
  • Bike Lanes (East Castro Valley Blvd. to Coldwater Dr)
  • Installation of centerline rumble strip
