Project Overview
The Proctor Road Sidewalk Improvement Project is located in Castro Valley, along Proctor Road from Walnut Road to Camino Alta Mira. The project will provide infill and replacement sidewalks on both sides of Proctor Road, along with curb ramp upgrades at intersections within the project limits. The goal is to establish a continuous ADA-compliant path of travel on both sides of the roadway. Traffic control measures and best management practices (BMPs) will be implemented to protect the environment, and utility relocations will also be included.
Construction is planned in two phases. Phase 1 will be Proctor Road East, which is on Proctor Road east of Redwood Road to Camino Alta Mira. Phase 2 will be Proctor Road West, which is west of Redwood Road to Walnut Road.
