Project Overview
This is a safety improvement project at 11 non-signalized intersections in unincorporated Alameda County, namely 170th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, 5th Street and E Street, Alisal Court and E Lewelling Boulevard, Altamont Pass Road and Carroll Road, Barlow Drive and Lake Chabot Road, Bockman Road and Keller Avenue, Hathaway Avenue and Louette Court, James Avenue and Redwood Road, Koopman Road and Pleasanton Sunol Road, Pinehurst Road and Redwood Road, and Stanton Avenue and Sydney Way. The proposed improvements target safety improvements for all road users during both daytime and nighttime conditions.
The proposed improvements will implement measures to improve intersection visibility, intersection lighting, and the awareness of pedestrian activities at marked and uncontrolled crosswalks.
