Project Overview
Recent channel condition assessments identified that sediment buildup had caused negative drainage effects along an already flat portion of the Ardenwood Creek channel.
The purpose of the improvements are to restore channel dimensions and promote positive drainage to the Bay, reducing backwater effects upstream.
Project Features
- Excavation and removal of excess sediment within the channel bottom and banks
- Regrading of side slopes to original channel dimensions

All work to be complete within District right of way.

Construction Start Date
Construction is anticipated to begin in July 2025. Mechanized construction work within the banks of the channel will be completed between September 1 and October 15, 2025. Planting and seeding work may continue until November 30, 2025.
Status
The project has been advertised for construction bids. Should an acceptable bid be received, a construction contract is anticipated to be awarded in June 2025. Construction is anticipated to begin in July 2025.
