BESCO AND EDEN LANDING PUMP STATION OUTFALL STRUCTURES REHABILITATION IN HAYWARD

ZONE NO. 3A PROJECT

Project Overview

Recent pump station condition assessments indicated Eden Landing and Besco pump stations have various structural deficiencies at the existing outfall structures and flap gates.

The purpose of the improvements are to rehabilitate the existing outfall concrete structures and flap gates in order to extend the service life of the pump station outfall structures. To correct structural deficiencies, the headwall and wingwall with spalled concrete will be removed and replaced with new concrete, and the existing flap gates will be replaced with new flap gates and equipped with cathodic protection systems.
