WARD CREEK (LINE B) LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN LINE F AND PACHECO WAY IN HAYWARD

ZONE NO. 3A PROJECT

Project Overview

The existing elevation of the east levee along Ward Creek is below the 100-year (one percent annual chance) design water surface elevation. To contain the design flow, the District will raise the levee within the project limits by 0.5-feet above the 100-year design water surface elevation. This levee raising will be achieved by adding imported soil to the embankment and resurfacing the access road along the top of embankment.

The existing trail on District property, maintained and operated by the City of Hayward, will be closed for the duration of construction.
