About the Castlewood County Service Area
Castlewood County Service Area:
The Castlewood County Service Area (CSA) consists of 587 acres in the unincorporated area of Alameda County. It is located southwesterly of the City of Pleasanton, adjacent to the Arroyo de la Laguna (Arroyo). Elevations within the CSA range from 250 feet along the Arroyo to 1500 feet at the CSA’s western boundary. The CSA’s bounds encompass the Club buildings and facilities, including two 18-hole golf courses, and over 200 home sites.
The CSA was established in 1968 for the purpose of roadway maintenance. In 1979, sewer and water service were added to the CSA. In 1997, most of the sewer and water systems were replaced. For the past several years Coleman Engineering currently maintains both the water and sewer systems for Castlewood CSA. To report a water or sewer emergency, please contact their dispatch line at (916) 622-6095.
