Project Overview
The Heyer Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project is located from Redwood Road to Center Street. The project is approximately 0.74 mi long and has existing concrete sidewalks with frequent gaps in sidewalks at numerous locations. It is currently a Class III bike route.
The project will construct continuous concrete curbs, gutters, and sidewalks to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety and facilitate access to Castro Valley High School, Creekside Middle School, and Canyon Middle School.
