Second Street

Project Overview

The Second Street Sidewalk Improvement Project is located on Second Street from the Hayward City Limit (100’ west of Sylvan Glen Court) to Windfeldt Road in the unincorporated area of Alameda County. The project will provide infill and replacement sidewalks on both sides of Second Street, roadway resurfacing, and curb ramps at the corners of intersections within the limits described. The goal of the project is to provide a continuous pedestrian path of travel on both sides of Second Street within the limits described.

An In-Person Public Meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, to present the Second Street Improvement Project.

Homeowners with unsigned PTECs (Permit to Enter and Construct) are welcome to attend to sign and submit their PTECs at the meeting.
