Project Overview
The East Bay Greenway Multimodal Project extends along East 14th Street between Bayfair Drive and 162nd Avenue, with a connection from East 14th Street to the Bay Fair BART station that follows 159th Avenue and Coelho Drive to Thornally Drive at the San Leandro City Limit.
The project is part of a larger initiative to connect the East Bay via the East Bay Greenway, a regional trail of bicycle and pedestrian facilities covering approximately 16 miles through Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Ashland and Cherryland. Sections of the East Bay Greenway are in various stages of delivery, with some segments under design or construction and others already completed, including segments of E. 14th St and Mission Blvd in unincorporated areas of Alameda County.
Planned improvements will enhance safety, accessibility, and connectivity for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists along the corridor.
