ACPWA’s movable bridges are a vital component of Alameda County’s transportation network. An overview of the three bridges subject to the study is presented in Table 1 below. ACPWA intends to contract with consultant to perform a movable bridge automation feasibility study. The purpose of the feasibility study will be to evaluate the High Street, Park Street, and Alameda County Public Works Agency 2
Miller-Sweeney bridges in terms of automation and offsite management and monitoring via one control center operated by ACPWA.
