Bartlett Avenue

Project Overview

The Bartlett Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project extends along Bartlett Avenue between Hesperian Boulevard and Garden Avenue in the Hayward Acres Community.

The project will construct continuous sidewalks, add landscaping, rehabilitate the roadway, and enhance accessibility throughout the corridor.  These improvements will close existing sidewalk gaps, replace deteriorated sidewalks, address accessibility deficiencies, and create a safer, more connected corridor for people walking, bicycling, and driving.  The project will also strengthen Safe Routes to School connections and provide better access to Royal Sunset High School, surrounding neighborhoods, businesses along Hesperian Boulevard, and other nearby community destinations.

The project supports Alameda County’s Vision 2036 for Safe and Livable Communities and advances the County’s 10X goal of Accessible & Integrated Infrastructure.
